Whip admonishes newlyweds Nick and Bridgette for necking on the Jackie M. hallways instead of distracting Stephanie. Bridgette assures Whip that Stephanie will lecture them for at least 10 minutes when she catches them going at it like school kids against a locker.
Clarke strolls by a starry-eyed Pam and gasps to see her donning a flaming red wig. Pam pouts that she thought he liked redheads. “Listen. Only one dame can pull that off,” Clarke insists, “the original redhead herself.” As Pam slips the wig under her desk, Jackie and Owen spill out of Nick’s office, announcing that it’s time.
Later, Stephanie Forrester can’t understand why Jackie wants to put a perfectly good office chair into storage. Stephanie actually wouldn’t mind having her own desk somewhere, so that she doesn’t inconvenience Nick. Jackie, dressed in a strapless baby doll dress and knee-high white boots, leads Stephanie down the hall to a door, and suggests they cram a desk into the storage room after they clear it out.
Stephanie opens the look to have a look, and the staff of Jackie M. yells, “Surprise!” Stephanie’s flattered to see a newly designed office. Pam removes the storage sign from the door to reveal Stephanie’s name. Nick and Jackie say they wanted to find a way to celebrate what Stephanie brought to their design house. Nick says she was an undervalued asset at Forrester, but she’d never be undervalued at Jackie M.
Owen goes for the cake Pam just sliced, but Pam says that piece is for Clarke, who loves the extra frosting. Bridgette stacks framed pictures of Stephanie’s children on the desk, Whip’s gift idea. Stephanie leans in, asking if Bridgette can stand to work with Whip after what happened. Bridgette insists Brooke and Whip were trying to protect her. She hopes they’ve all moved on. Stephanie insinuates that Whip still has a thing for Brooke.
Stephanie calls everyone’s attention to say that her influence at Forrester had waned and she no longer felt that she was contributing there. She says it’s the opposite at Jackie M., where she’s found a new family. She realizes that she’s not a Forrester anymore, and says that she wouldn’t be any place else.
After the party, Nick, Bridgette, Whip, Owen, Clarke, and Pam think Stephanie enjoyed her surprise. Bridgette can’t believe Stephanie and Jackie were getting along so well. Nick thinks working together is one thing, but he’s not so certain that the two women will be friends.
Jackie enters Stephanie’s new office with a gift. It’s a picture of Jackie and Stephanie from Jackie’s wedding. Stephanie loves it. Jackie starts to leave, but Stephanie stops her to acknowledge that they weren’t friends. They apologize to each other for the bad things that happened. Stephanie asks if they can forget those things. She says that Jackie gave her something that she’d lost, a sense of family and a place to go to each day. “I want to say thank you, and I’d be happy if we could be friends,” Stephanie said. Jackie pulled Stephanie in for a tight hug.
At Brooke’s house, Katie changed her mind and urges Brooke to stalk Ridge via text-message. Donna worries because Ridge asked to be left alone. Brooke says he isn’t alone; he’s with Taylor. Katie tells Brooke to text Ridge to call her. Brooke wearily picks up her cell phone.
At Taylor’s house, Thomas and Steffy come inside after happily losing a tennis match to their “cute” parents. Steffy’s phone beeps, she receives a text from Brooke, forwarded from Ridge’s phone. Steffy calls Brooke borderline crazy to pursue Ridge after sending him to Taylor. Thomas says that Brooke would rather chase Ridge than actually have him.
Steffy feels guilty about her actions, but Thomas warns that if they don’t thwart Brooke, Ridge will run over there, leaving Taylor in the cold. Taylor and Ridge trot in with lemonade, and Taylor savors the simplicity of having her children and her husband-to-be.
Taylor is excited to be remarrying Ridge the next day, and promises the children that the vows are a commitment to them, and to Phoebe. Taylor tells Ridge that Phoebe will be there with them in spirit. She calls her wedding planner, and Ridge tells her to spare no expense. He wants the reuniting of their family to be memorable. Taylor hugs him, looking as if she might cry tears of joy. Ridge hugs her back, staring vacantly into the distance.
Back at Brooke’s house, she reads the text response she thinks is from Ridge, saying, “I need space.” Katie says Ridge is avoiding Brooke because he knows he’s vulnerable. Brooke thinks Katie might be right, adding that he’d never wed Taylor after spending time with Brooke.
Brooke’s sisters insist she go to Taylor’s, but Brooke doesn’t want to face Taylor. She’s also sure Stephanie booby-trapped the house. Katie urges her not to give up. Brooke decides she must find a way to reach Ridge. “I’ll get through to him,” she says. “I’ll never give up.”
Brooke slumps alone on her stairs, remembering a time when Ridge proposed and they eloped on an island. She recalls remarrying recently on the beach. She says that Ridge can’t forget her, and she texts him once more.
Steffy receives a text link to “Unforgettable,” and worries that she can’t keep up the scheme. Thomas says they have to do it until their parents remarry. As Steffy texts back, Ridge enters, wondering if there’s a problem. Steffy and Thomas express their worry about Brooke, but Ridge thinks Brooke respects his decision. He says he hasn’t heard a peep out of her since he asked her to back off. Meanwhile, Brooke receives a text saying, “You need to move on. I have.” Brooke texts back that she’ll never forget.
Steffy’s phone beeps, and Thomas distracts Ridge and Taylor, while Steffy checks her phone. She texts back, “Leave me alone,” and her phone flies out of her hand as she turns around. Ridge picks up the phone, and it beeps again. He looks at it, and rages, “Oh, my God, Steffy! What is this?”
